In the third quarter of 2025, the Dutch implementation act of the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) is anticipated to take effect.

With NIS2, the European Union is introducing a significant set of cybersecurity rules. However, these obligations will not be entirely new for many organizations. After all, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also requires organizations to take security measures and report data breaches.
